What is ACT?
ACT is a very realistic approach to counselling that enables you to accept what is out of your control and commit to actions that improve your life and mental health. We can’t remove all of the difficult emotions and circumstances from our life, but it doesn’t mean that they should control the way we feel!
ACT helps you to understand this simple yet profound fact and focus on committing to the things that you can change while not being overwhelmed by the things that you can’t. Thanks to ACT, you will learn how to stop fighting your reality and focus on living a meaningful life, even when some difficult feelings and experiences are a part of it.
One of the main parts of ACT is identifying your core values and goals and connecting with them on a deeper level so you can take committed actions that are in alignment with them. The end result? Achieving a greater sense of meaning and fulfillment in life.
